| Activating Road Merchant |
Road Merchant can only post transactions to a demo merchant account until it becomes activated. This allows the merchants to familiarize themselves with the operation of the program before deciding if this is the right solution for them. Activation is linked to the BlackBerry's device id. If the BlackBerry must be restored on a previously activated device, Road Merchant can request to verify activation to reactivate. New devices must activate either by activation code, or by purchasing activation using Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Steps Required1Navigate to the Activation Screen. This can be found with the menu options on the Settings screen. 2 To activate by activation code, enter the code, and press PROCESS CODE. Road Merchant will contact the activation servers to verify the code and respond accordingly. 3Alternately, you may enter your Discover, Visa, or MasterCard account number, expiration date, CVV, billing zip code and email address, and select one of the two available charges. UNLOCK DEMO MODE will bill your credit card $24.95 and allow you to perform live keyed transactions. UNLOCK CARD READER will bill your credit card $49.95 and allow your to perform live swipe transactions. Please note that all card readers purchased from The Card Reader Store for Road Merchant will include the activation code to unlock the card reader. |
